Welcome to SpecDiff. By purchasing or using our service, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Service Description

SpecDiff is a web-based tool that uses artificial intelligence to extract and compare data from specification documents (PDFs). The service processes uploaded files and generates comparison tables that can be exported as CSV files.

2. Account and Purchase

2.1 Lifetime Access

By purchasing SpecDiff for the one-time payment of $29 (or promotional price if applicable), you receive lifetime access to the service, subject to these terms.

2.2 Usage Limits

Your purchase currently includes 50 comparisons per month. A "comparison" is defined as a single processing session where you upload and compare PDF specification sheets. Monthly limits reset on the first day of each calendar month.

We reserve the right to modify usage limits at any time with or without prior notice. While we will make reasonable efforts to notify existing users of significant changes to usage limits that would materially reduce their access, we are not obligated to do so. Continued use of the service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new limits.

2.3 Account Registration

You may be required to create an account to use SpecDiff. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use SpecDiff only for lawful purposes. You may not:

  • Upload content that violates intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or any applicable laws
  • Upload malicious files, viruses, or harmful code
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying AI models or algorithms
  • Use the service to process sensitive personal data, confidential information, or classified documents without proper authorization
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Resell, redistribute, or commercialize the service without written permission
  • Use automated systems or bots to abuse the service or exceed usage limits

4. Intellectual Property

4.1 Your Content

You retain all ownership rights to the PDF files you upload. By uploading files, you grant SpecDiff a limited license to process, analyze, and temporarily store your files solely to provide the service.

4.2 Output Data

The comparison tables and CSV exports generated by SpecDiff are provided to you for your use. However, you are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use the underlying data from the source PDFs.

4.3 Our Service

SpecDiff, including its software, algorithms, design, and branding, is owned by Chinmoy Kumar Acharjee and protected by intellectual property laws.

5. Data and Privacy

5.1 Data Processing

We process your uploaded PDFs to extract and compare specifications. Files are processed temporarily and are not permanently stored beyond what is necessary to provide the service.

5.2 Data Security

While we implement reasonable security measures, you acknowledge that no internet transmission is completely secure. You upload files at your own risk.

5.3 Privacy Policy

Your use of SpecDiff is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use your information.

6. Accuracy and Limitations

6.1 AI-Powered Service

SpecDiff uses artificial intelligence for data extraction. While we strive for high accuracy, the service may occasionally produce errors or inaccuracies in extracted data.

6.2 No Warranties

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or accuracy of results.

6.3 Your Responsibility

You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of extracted data before relying on it for any purpose. SpecDiff is a tool to assist with comparisons, not a substitute for manual verification.

7. Payment and Refunds

7.1 Payment

All payments are processed securely through our payment provider. Prices are listed in USD.

7.2 Refund Policy

Due to the digital nature of the service and immediate access upon purchase, all sales are final. Refunds may be issued at our sole discretion within 14 days of purchase if you have not used the service beyond the initial trial usage.

7.3 Price Changes

We reserve the right to modify pricing for future purchases at any time with or without notice. Your lifetime access purchased at the current price will not be affected by future price changes.

7.4 Plan Changes

We reserve the right to introduce new pricing plans, modify existing plans, or discontinue plans at any time with or without notice. Existing users who have purchased lifetime access will retain access to the service, though specific features or limits may be subject to change as outlined in Section 2.2.

8. Service Availability

8.1 Uptime

While we strive for continuous availability, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access to SpecDiff. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues.

8.2 Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.

8.3 Future Updates

Your lifetime access includes all future updates and new features added to SpecDiff at no additional cost, subject to fair use policies.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SpecDiff and its creator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, or goodwill arising out of your use of the service.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service ($29 or applicable purchase price).

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SpecDiff and Chinmoy Kumar Acharjee from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your uploaded content, or your violation of these terms.

11. Termination

11.1 By You

You may stop using the service at any time. No refunds will be provided for voluntary termination.

11.2 By Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, abuse the service, or engage in fraudulent activity. In cases of termination for cause, no refund will be provided.

12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Assam, India.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions at any time with or without notice. Changes become effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We reserve the right to modify any aspect of the service, including but not limited to pricing, plans, features, and usage limits, with or without prior notice.

While we will make reasonable efforts to notify users of material changes via email or through the service, we are not obligated to provide such notice.

15. Miscellaneous

15.1 Entire Agreement

These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and SpecDiff regarding the service.

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

15.3 No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these terms will not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

15.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these terms without our written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
